About the job

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the campaign director/director with the day-to-day running of accounts
  • Development of high-quality content (press releases and op-eds)  
  • Media pitching – crafting of pitches, targeting 
  •  Effective reporting –monthly reports, coverage reports
  •   Delivering consistently excellent outputs on time and in line with client expectations  
  • Development of creative plans and fresh ideas to address a client’s strategic and commercial objectives 
  • Development and implementation of media relations campaigns –pitching and scheduling media briefings/interviews, providing detailed client briefings, management of the interview and follow-up 
  • Contribution to the organicgrowth of existing clients with new ideas and plans to enhance existing client campaigns 
  • Support campaign directors with managing client operational budgets 
  • Effective day-to-day counsel for clients across strategies for media relations, social media, thought leadership/opinion and events 
  • Regular face-to-face client contact: Attend and contribute to client meetings, early drafting of internal and external agendas for client meetings
  •  Assistance with the research and production of thought leadership reports, client and in-house publications 
  •  Support for the team delivering pitches, including new business research, development of proposals, and intelligence gathering

 

About you

The ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years working in agency on corporate, tech or third sector accounts. 
  • Independent thinker and initiative driven  
  • Strong relationship building skills with clients and media contacts  
  • Confident in crafting proposals and presenting to clients  
  • Ability and willingness to coach and mentor junior team members  
  • Excellent editorial and written skills  
  • Active knowledge and interest of emerging political/business issues and communications channels pertinent to our clients’ business
