About the job

Key responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and influencers across national, lifestyle, digital, and trade press to deliver standout coverage.
  • Develop compelling press releases, pitches, and content that generate media interest and support client objectives.
  • Oversee press trips and events end-to-end, from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results.
  • Identify media opportunities, respond to breaking trends, and contribute to the development of creative campaign strategies.
  • Manage day-to-day press office operations: respond to media enquiries, monitor and evaluate coverage, maintain up-to-date media lists, and produce regular reporting. Keep pace with digital developments and find ways to integrate them into press office activity.
  • Provide support and direction to junior team members, participate in internal brainstorms, and collaborate with senior colleagues to maintain campaign momentum.

 

About you 

The ideal candidate:

  • 4 – 6+ years in a London-based PR agency role with experience in food, travel, or drinks. 
  • Solid understanding of the UK media landscape with established journalist and influencer relationships across travel, food, drink, and lifestyle. 
  • Has a proven track record of delivering high-impact coverage.
  • Excellent writing skills and able to craft clear, creative, and precise messaging that adapts to different audiences and channels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, track campaign budgets, and support new business proposals and pitches.
  • Digitally minded with a strong grasp of social media trends, platform best practice, and influencer-led consumer behaviour 
  • Is a natural collaborator who thrives in a fast-moving, ambitious environment
