Your client portfolio will be fascinating and endlessly diverse. You will be building corporate fame for a range of unique businesses and brands. You’ll also be navigating complex reputational issues whilst building and protecting the legacies of illustrious leaders and iconic brands. 

As an Account Director, you’ll steer strategy, be a calm centre of gravity in complex reputational issues, whilst protecting the legacies of illustrious leaders. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead on major accounts: ensuring the account runs smoothly and to the client’s satisfaction, including hitting deadlines and meeting internal quality benchmarks.
  • Sell-in stories to senior media contacts and ensure that any major media enquiries are handled effectively.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day senior contact for clients, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and providing proactive strategic counsel.
  • Take a leading role in the production of strategy and discovery work, ensuring that the scope is delivered to the highest standards. 
  • Collaborate with the Senior Account Director to drive business development through confident network building and producing materials (e.g. case studies) that aid business development. 
  • Oversee and mentor account teams, providing guidance, feedback, and leadership to ensure seamless execution and continuous professional development.

 

About you

The ideal candidate:

  • Has proven agency or senior in-house experience leading major, corporate PR accounts at AD level across corporate and reputation mandates. 
  • Is a confident client lead who builds positive relationships with senior decision‑makers. 
  • Has strong senior media relationships and sharp editorial judgement
  • Is highly organised, proactive, and solutions-driven, able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Is commercially minded, spotting opportunities to grow existing accounts, drive new business and persuasively summarise the offering. 
  • Is a motivated, diplomatic leader with gravitas who handles clients with a calm and confident approach. 
  • Has strong leadership skills, the ability to organise and motivate junior colleagues, and the drive to develop across the agency.
