About the job

Press Box is looking for a Client Account Manager to join their sports team, working with some of their biggest and most iconic betting and gaming accounts.

Your role will be focused on ensuring the client remains happy, their needs are understood, any issues are managed effectively and providing clear communication to the internal team so that projects are delivered on time and to the clients’ standard.

Working alongside their content and media relations specialists, you’ll:

  • Be the main point of contact for clients, delivering updates, reporting, and handling escalations.
  • Manage internal stakeholders to keep projects on track and ensure all campaign information is captured for client reporting.
  • Spot commercial opportunities, from major events like Cheltenham or the World Cup, to client-specific campaigns, and work proposals through with our team.
  • Help clients understand the value of digital PR – securing high-authority backlinks to boost their search rankings, alongside brand visibility in top-tier publications.

This is not a media pitching role, instead, you will be the pacemaker of their campaigns, keeping everything moving, both for clients and internally. This is a client servicing role that will work closely with the content and media reactions team which execute the campaigns.

About you

  • You’ll need to come from a PR, Digital PR or earned media background. Journalism experience will be considered, but you’ll need to show experience in managing stakeholder relationships.  Agency experience is preferred but candidates from in-house backgrounds will be considered. (Please note, candidates from creative / advertising agencies unfortunately are not the right fit).
  • You must have a natural interest in sports and enjoy keeping across the latest sports news.
  • You’ll show a developed skill set in stakeholder management. You’ll have the emotional intelligence to read the room, keep clients on side, manage expectations and ensure internal team members are providing clear updates to help you with client management.
  • You’ll be someone that understands seniority and accountability – this is about being aware of organisational hierarchies (who makes the decisions, who approves budgets, who signs off on deliverables) and acting appropriately within them. It also means recognising who is responsible for what, including yourself, and being able to take ownership of their own work while respecting others’ responsibilities.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship is not available for this role – you must already have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
