About the job
This is a full-time, 3-month contract role with a strong chance of extension to 6 months.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the delivery of integrated PR campaigns across a range of high-profile consumer brands within FMCG, lifestyle and sport
- Driving earned media opportunities by proactively identifying story angles and pitching to consumer, lifestyle and national media
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and key industry contacts
- Drafting high-quality press materials including press releases, media alerts, briefing documents and campaign toolkits
- Monitoring media landscapes, tracking coverage, and supporting campaign reporting and evaluation
- Supporting the planning and execution of campaigns, launches, media events, and brand activations
- Managing timelines, status documents, and ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery across multiple workstreams
- Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and contributing to client communications and project management (particularly at AM level)
- Contributing creative ideas in brainstorms and helping bring earned-first, culturally relevant campaign ideas to life
About you
The ideal candidate:
- Has solid PR experience (agency or in-house), ideally within consumer brands across FMCG, lifestyle, or sport
- Has a strong interest in earned media, with the confidence to proactively pitch stories and secure coverage across consumer and national media
- Is confident managing media relations, with existing journalist contacts or the ability to quickly build them
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail across all deliverables
- Is proactive and solutions-focused, someone who brings ideas to the table and takes ownership of their work
- Is highly organised, able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- (For AM level) Has experience managing projects, timelines, and client communications with a growing sense of ownership
- Is comfortable working across integrated campaigns, collaborating with internal teams to bring ideas to life
- Thrives in a fast-moving agency environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative, high-energy team
- Is eager to grow within consumer PR, building both their media relations and campaign delivery skillset
