  • Duration: 4 – 6 weeks
  • Availability: 4 or 5 days per week
  • Rate: $450 – $500 per day

Step into a fast-paced, hands-on freelance role with a leading integrated communications agency. In this 4 to 6-week contract, you will jump straight into a mix of event management and earned media workstreams across a diverse, live portfolio of high-profile clients spanning the automotive, financial services, retail, consumer, and tourism sectors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Event Management: Spearheading event elements across one or more key accounts, including planning, logistics, supplier liaison, and on-the-ground coordination.
  • Earned Media: Driving earned media activity from end-to-end – including planning, drafting and distributing press releases, pitching, and rigorous journalist follow-ups.
  • Campaign Execution: Moving seamlessly between different client categories, picking up momentum quickly, and reporting on progress and coverage results to account leads.

 

About you

Essential experience:

  • Current AM/SAM Agency Experience: You are currently operating at an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager level, with recent and proven experience driving earned media and events within a PR agency (Australia or UK market experience is essential).

 

The ideal candidate:

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager or Senior Account Manager who can hit the ground running from day one. You will bring:

  • Proven Agency Experience: Solid PR, communications, or events experience, ideally gained within a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Exceptional Juggling Skills: Total comfort managing multiple clients and transitioning between distinct industry categories at the same time.
  • Media Savvy: Strong, established media relationships and highly confident pitching abilities.
  • Proactive Energy: A highly adaptable and hands-on approach, ready to step into live projects and deliver immediate value to the team and clients.
