About the job
This is a full-time, 3-month contract role with a strong chance of extension to 6 months.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the delivery of integrated PR campaigns across a portfolio of high-profile consumer brands within FMCG, lifestyle and sport
- Driving earned media strategy by identifying strong story angles and leading outreach across consumer, lifestyle and national media
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key journalists, influencers, and industry contacts to consistently secure high-quality coverage
- Overseeing the development of press materials including press releases, media alerts, briefing documents and campaign toolkits, ensuring a high standard of output
- Monitoring media landscapes, analysing coverage, and contributing to campaign reporting and performance insights
- Managing the planning and execution of campaigns, launches, media events, and brand activations from brief through to delivery
- Owning timelines, status documents, and ensuring smooth day-to-day account management across multiple workstreams
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, supporting communication, managing expectations, and building strong working relationships
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders and guiding junior team members to deliver work to a high standard
- Contributing to creative brainstorms and helping shape earned-first, culturally relevant campaign ideas
About you
The ideal candidate:
- Has strong PR experience (agency or in-house), ideally across consumer brands within FMCG, lifestyle, or sport
- Has a proven track record in earned media, with the confidence to lead pitching and consistently secure high-quality coverage across consumer and national media
- Is confident managing media relations, with established journalist relationships and the ability to further grow and leverage a strong network
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail and high standards across all outputs
- Is proactive, solutions-focused, and takes ownership,someone who drives work forward and brings ideas to the table
- Is highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Has experience managing projects, timelines, and client communications, with confidence in owning day-to-day account delivery
- Is comfortable working across integrated campaigns, collaborating with internal teams to deliver impactful, culturally relevant work
- (For SAM level) Has experience mentoring or guiding junior team members and contributing to the overall quality of team output
- Thrives in a fast-moving agency environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative, high-energy team
- Is motivated to continue growing within consumer PR, developing both strategic thinking and leadership capability
