Scam Alert: Impersonators pretending to be Latte Recruitment

Say Hello

June 2025

We’ve recently  been made aware that scammers are impersonating Latte Recruitment by sending WhatsApp messages claiming to offer remote job opportunities. These messages are not from us.

We want to reassure you: our systems have not been hacked. There is no data breach at Latte. This appears to be a spray-and-pray scam targeting professionals in PR, not a breach of any client or candidate data.

How to spot a fake message:

To help you stay safe, here’s how we operate:

  • Whatsapp: We don’t cold-message job opportunities via WhatsApp. You’ll only receive WhatsApp messages from us if you’re already in an active process and we’re organising an interview. Otherwise, our outreach is via LinkedIn messages and email.
  • Email: Emails will always be from our official domain: @wearelatte.com. Always verify the sender. If you’re unsure, our current team is listed in the ‘About’ section on our website.

We’ll never ask for sensitive info upfront. We’ll only request a CV after we’ve briefed you on a role and you’ve opted to move forward. We never ask for bank details.

What to do if you’re contacted by an impersonator pretending to be Latte:

Do not reply, click any links, or send any personal information. We recommend blocking the sender. Let us know via our official channels (email, website, LinkedIn) so we can be aware and warn our network.

If you’re ever in doubt, get in touch with us directly using our official channels and we confirm whether it’s genuinely us reaching out.

We’re still here doing what we do best, connecting great talent with great opportunities, safely and professionally.

Thanks for staying vigilant.
