About the job

  • This job requires strong experience in content management and direction, from either an agency, journalistic environment, or at a publication/company.
  • You’ll be regularly presenting, interviewing, panel hosting and other associated activities
  • You’re required to have strong commercial and working knowledge of sports industries and breaking news.
  • You’ll be managing content and talent teams both internally and externally in this role.
  • Using your knowledge of the industry you will curate and maintain a pool of talent (e.g. ex-footballers) from across the industry that can be tapped into on comms campaigns.
  • The role will have you facilitating and organising industry events, panels, shows and conferences.
  • You will be a part of the senior Sports team, and be heavily involved in hiring and training new and existing employees.


About you 

  • You’ll have at least five years’ experience in a relevant digital PR, content or commercial editorial role in Sports Media or consumer PR industry.
  • Exceptional journalistic and writing skills including creation of content ideas and pushing the direction of the content and editorial teams.
  • A network within the industry including and not limited to publications, affiliates, sports creators, ex-sports stars and more.
  • A thorough understanding of the sports and brand industries and media landscapes, including popular coverage and editorial ideas within relevant digital and print titles
  • You’ll have experience in managing creation and curation of content end to end; including creative ideas/research, utilising data/surveys, obtaining opinions and headlines from sports talent
  • You’ll have strong experience in managing and training people, including managing and guiding content teams.
  • You’ll have a strong understanding of the production of multiple media formats including social media, video and others.
