About the job

This is a pivotal role within a newly structured, high-growth team. This Senior Account Manager will lead the day-to-day operations for a sophisticated portfolio of clients across the Corporate, Financial Services, Private Equity, and Managed Funds sectors. 

The role will involve:

  • Act as a key advisor to clients, moving beyond tactical PR to provide high-level corporate communications and financial/IR exposure (including shareholder newsletters and trade media strategy).
  • Take direct responsibility for the mentorship and development of an Account Manager and a Senior Account Executive, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will identify organic growth opportunities and play an active role in new business presentations and brief development.
  • Leverage and expand your existing network of Australian journalists to land impactful coverage across tier-one business and trade titles.
  • Take ownership of account profitability, reporting, and high-level campaign delivery.

 

About you

  • You are an existing Senior Account Manager coming from a local PR agency background.
  • You have solid financial services expertise and an understanding of the Australian landscape across private equity, banking, or managed funds.
  • You possess strong corporate PR foundations but are comfortable navigating the nuances of Investor Relations and listed company requirements.
  • You are likely a high-performing SAM looking for a clear, supported pathway to Account Director.
  • You have established relationships with local businesses and industry media.
  • You genuinely enjoy mentoring junior staff and take pride in their professional wins.
