About the job

Key responsibilities:

  • Senior Leader on major accounts, ensuring that every aspect of a project or retained account runs smoothly, and to the client’s satisfaction, as well as hitting deadlines and meeting internal quality benchmarks.
  • Sell-in stories to senior media contacts and ensure that any major media enquiries are handled effectively.
  • Drive business development through confident network building, vetting of leads and producing materials (e.g. case studies) that aid business development. 
  • Secure new clients by producing and contributing to proposals, pitches and RFIs for potential new clients. 
  • Manage a team, ensuring high standards of performance and motivation, that all training and upskilling requirements are met, and that they hit consistent career development milestones. 

 

About you

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven agency experience leading major PR accounts at Senior Account Director level across corporate and reputation mandates, including live issues and crisis support
  • A confident client lead who builds positive relationships with senior decision‑makers, including through crisis situations. 
  • Has strong senior media relationships and sharp editorial judgement, ideally including business and tech press
  • Highly organised with the ability to resource teams, manage scopes and budgets, and deliver at pace without compromising quality
  • Commercially minded, spotting opportunities to grow existing accounts, drive new business and persuasively summarise offering.
