About the Job

  • You will step into a 12 month contract to direct and oversee communication campaigns and contribute to the success of the team and agency. 
  • Client Relationship
    • You will lead campaigns/projects and constantly monitor work to ensure the client’s expectations are delivered to strategy. 
    • You will continually plan ahead to seek new opportunities to improve the client’s business requirements. 
    • You will develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, operationally and strategically. 
    • You will ensure yourself and the account teams remain aware of industry and media trends to continually provide strategic guidance to clients.
    • You will have a considerable network of contacts in the sector, with experience taking the lead on new business document creation processes and playing a key role in external pitch meetings. 
  • Strategy
    • You will develop PR briefs for day-to-day workload based on an overarching strategy. 
    • You will work in partnership with other teams in the business to execute strategic plans. 
    • You will ensure clients are aware of the agency’s integrated offerings.
    • You will lead new business opportunities alongside Strategy and Creative. 
  • Leadership
    • You will ensure Business Directors are given autonomy but also regular performance feedback. 
    • You will manage, coach, and mentor younger team members. 
    • You will lead and foster agency culture plans to look for new ways to drive employee engagement.
  • Financial
    • You will work with agency Directors to set financial targets and manage budgets.
    • You will provide monthly project forecasts.
    • You will lead account reconciliation of time and retainers. 
    • You will oversee the timely distribution of estimates, invoices, and contact reports.

 

About You

  • You are a current GM / MD / Director, or a Group Account Director with at least 2 years experience in the role, coming from a PR agency.
  • Experience with leading significant accounts or large client portfolios.
  • Strong leadership experience handling direct reports and mobilisation of large teams for end-to-end project execution.
  • Strong financial planning and management experience across budgeting, resource planning, and team resourcing. 
  • Ability to identify and execute new business opportunities.
