About the job

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, building trust and providing senior-level strategic counsel.
  • Develop, execute, and manage end-to-end PR and communications campaigns that align with client objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media, journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee the drafting and editing of high-quality press releases, media pitches, opinion editorials, and comprehensive campaign reports.
  • Mentor, guide, and manage the daily workflow of junior team members (Account Executives and Coordinators).
  • Identify proactive media opportunities and drive creative ideation for new client campaigns and new business pitches.

 

About you

Essential experience:

  • You are an existing Account Manager (or a seasoned Senior Account Executive or Junior Account Manager) coming from an Australian PR agency.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • A proven track record of managing client accounts independently and consistently securing high-impact, tier-one media coverage.
  • Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a meticulous eye for detail and a knack for finding the hook in any story.
  • Has an established “black book” of media and influencer contacts across relevant consumer, lifestyle, or corporate sectors.
  • Is a natural leader who enjoys upskilling junior staff and fostering a collaborative, positive team culture.
  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen, highly organized time-management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple competing deadlines effortlessly.
  • Experience within travel communications is advantageous but not required.
