About the agency

Woodrow shapes the debates defining tomorrow’s world.

Specialising in communications, reputation management and strategic advisory, they tell the stories that matter, working with brands, organisations and individuals around the world.

In two years, the Woodrow team has grown to 15. Even during the disruption caused by COVID-19, they took on three new team members, won a raft of new clients and moved into new offices.

This isn’t your typical PR agency. They work hard and fast. They’re relentless until they shift the conversation. They work with innovators shaking up industries, organisations with a global impact and independent brands doing business differently.

Their clients include an app helping to diagnose dementia, an investment manager leading the sustainability conversation, and the UK’s largest independent snack brand.

Culture

Every member of the team embodies Woodrow’s core values. They’re honest, dedicated and work hard for their clients and for each other.

What we found to be unique about Woodrow is that everyone is given the chance to become the very best version of themselves. Regardless of seniority or experience, all Woodrow team members are trusted to give advice to clients and have key conversations with them, as well as to take full ownership of their role.

They’re also confident, curious and entrepreneurially minded. Woodrow’s aim is to build something exceptional, not to do what’s been done before. Everyone in the team takes on responsibility from the first day and has the chance to make an immediate impact.

This is not a company of big egos. Their focus is their work. They shout about their clients and the issues that matter.

This is an agency that will nurture you and you will progress quickly. They’re looking for someone with drive, but also someone who will be mindful of the bigger picture when working on campaigns, making sure there’s a long-term positive impact.

Annual summer getaways allow the team to bond and give everyone the chance to unwind after all their hard work.

About the job

  • This role is varied; from driving purpose-led comms, CEO profiling and defining the corporate narrative to help protect brands during a crisis, each day is different.
  • Your clients are flexible but could include an investment firm breaking the old school model and rebuilding it, focusing on sustainable investments.
  • Another client could include an app that tackles issues around heart disease and cholesterol. You will drive behaviour change awareness campaigns for this exciting new client win.
  • You’ll keep your ear to the ground, constantly looking for new opportunities to get your clients into the news.
  • You’ll drive all things strategy, campaigning and media relations.
  • You’ll be given a great deal of autonomy within the role. At this agency, you’ll get to lead projects from conception to delivery but will always have the guiding hand of an MD.

About You

  • You must be an established Account Manager or a Senior Account Executive ready for the next step in the PR industry with corporate reputation experience.
  • You’ll be able to articulate how you have driven a PR campaign before & be able to show strategic thinking.
  • Please note: if your experience is focused around consumer, fashion, travel, luxury or beauty PR, unfortunately, you will not be considered for this role.
  • You’ll have strong media contacts under your belt and be able to show where you have secured coverage.
  • You’re organised and able to handle tight deadlines and multiple tasks without compromising on quality. You’re confident working under pressure. You can adapt quickly and offer solutions in a fast-moving environment, and you’re just as adept at working on your own initiative as you are within a team.
  • You’re creative and interested in ideas, and quick to think outside the box to execute original and impactful campaigns. But you’re also emotionally intelligent and sociable. You show empathy and can earn your clients’ confidence and trust. You support your colleagues and they support you.
