Press Box is an agency committed to proactively creating an inclusive environment that celebrates and champions diversity of gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs and socio-economic background. The MD has committed to creating an inclusive space that not just encourages talent from different educational backgrounds, but also from underrepresented geographical locations in the UK.

As a part of their commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the industry, Press Box has formed partnerships with state schools in Croydon and Peckham to raise awareness of careers in media and PR to students, participating in careers events with our own talent clients and staff whilst also successfully delivering paid work experience programmes for students without any existing connection to the industry.

Over 80% of the Press Box PR team has no background in the PR industry and varying educational and professional experiences. The agency is committed to ensuring it continues to cultivate its reputation as an environment where anyone can thrive, with increased diversity and an inclusive culture playing a vital part in this journey.

About the job

  • In this role you will be reporting into the managing director and directly collaborating with both the heads of the consumer and sports department, delivering digital PR and SEO link-building campaigns.
  • Your portfolio will primarily be sitting in the gaming and finance spaces, with opportunities to expand this in the future.
  • You’ll be independently constructing link-building campaigns for your clients both in the UK and North America, primarily.
  • You’ll use your knowledge of the digital media landscape, as well as your relationships with editors to ideate on editorial content.
  • You’ll use your commercial awareness to continually scout and find opportunities with existing and potential clients.

About you

  • You are a PR professional with over 2.5 years of experience in securing links and digital coverage for gaming and finance-focused clients, ideally from a digital PR agency background.
  • You should be a first-class link building PR person, with the links you can obtain in relevant territories being your calling card.
  • You will have a flair for media relations and building creative campaigns that get media linking, with a solid understanding of how to create and execute campaigns for gaming and finance clients.
  • You should have your finger on the pulse when it comes to the manner in which journalists and editors cover PR campaigns in relevant territories and experience of producing engaging and newsworthy content via data, research, expert comment, with talent (and more) independently.
  • If you are currently securing links in the US, Canada and further afield and can bring media contacts as well as an understanding of how to build the type of campaigns that get traction here, we want to hear from you.
  • Any working knowledge of other languages will be a bonus in this role as you expand your remit to other territories.
