About the job
This is a full-time, 3-month contract role with a likely extension to 6 months.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the strategic direction and delivery of integrated PR campaigns across a portfolio of high-profile consumer brands within FMCG, lifestyle and sport
- Driving earned media strategy at a senior level, shaping campaign narratives and ensuring impactful coverage across consumer, lifestyle and national media
- Building and leveraging senior relationships with journalists, influencers, and key industry stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality results
- Overseeing the development of campaign materials and outputs, ensuring all work meets a high creative and strategic standard
- Providing oversight on media performance, analysing coverage, and delivering actionable insights to inform campaign effectiveness
- Leading the planning and execution of large-scale campaigns, launches, media events, and brand activations from concept through to delivery
- Overseeing account operations including timelines, resourcing, and workflow management to ensure seamless delivery across multiple workstreams
- Acting as a senior client lead, managing relationships, providing strategic counsel, and confidently navigating complex conversations
- Collaborating closely with senior leadership while mentoring and guiding junior team members to elevate overall team performance
- Playing a key role in creative ideation, shaping earned-first, culturally relevant campaign ideas that drive impact and visibility
About you
The ideal candidate:
- Has extensive PR experience (agency or in-house), ideally across consumer brands within FMCG, lifestyle, or sport
- Has a strong track record leading earned media strategy, with the ability to shape narratives and consistently deliver high-impact coverage across consumer and national media
- Is highly confident in media relations, with well-established journalist relationships and a strong network they can leverage at a senior level
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail and high standards across all outputs
- Is a proactive, strategic thinker who takes ownership, someone who drives work forward, challenges thinking, and brings strong ideas to the table
- Is highly organised, with the ability to oversee multiple projects, teams, and workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Has significant experience managing client relationships, providing strategic counsel, and confidently leading conversations at a senior level
- Is comfortable leading integrated campaigns, collaborating across teams to deliver culturally relevant, impactful work
- Has experience mentoring, guiding, and developing junior team members, helping to elevate overall team performance
- Thrives in a fast-moving agency environment and brings energy, leadership, and direction to the team
- Is motivated to continue growing at a senior level, contributing to both creative output and the broader success of the business
