About the job

As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in leading account workstreams and mentoring junior staff within Australia’s most prestigious travel PR firm. You will take high-level ownership of day-to-day operations for a portfolio of world-class cruise lines, airlines, and luxury resorts, moving beyond execution into a more strategic advisory space. This role is designed for a seasoned PR professional who is ready to work on high-stakes campaigns and serve as a trusted partner to a long-term client.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Leverage established senior media contacts to secure Tier-1 features, op-eds, and broadcast segments for high-profile travel brands.
  • Act as a mentor to Account Executives and Coordinators, providing guidance on pitching techniques, writing, and time management.
  • Lead the planning and hosting of complex international media famils and large-scale luxury events.
  • Participate in high-level client meetings and contribute creative ideas for new business pitches and annual strategy sessions.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and participating in brainstorms for upcoming projects.

 

About you

Essential experience:

  • You must have Australian PR agency experience at AE/SAE level, OR you have 2-3 years of in-house comms experience to be considered for this role

 

The ideal candidate:

  • You bring experience managing multiple accounts within the travel, tourism, or luxury lifestyle sectors.
  • You are a natural leader who enjoys sharing knowledge and is ready to step into a role with increased autonomy and responsibility.
  • You hold a strong book of contacts across major news publications within Australia.
  • You can effortlessly pivot your writing style between creative storytelling for travel features and professional corporate communications.
