About the agency

They know how to develop long-term strategies which positions brands in creatively compelling ways to drive audiences to engage.

  • Their clients are the Amazons and Facebooks of the world alongside fast-growing challenger brands. Depending on what team you work in, you’ll experience you might be protecting a major brand during times of crisis or helping a challenger with their next round of funding. 

  • In the past twelve months they have won a multitude of major clients growing the team from 40 to 55 people.

  • You’ll be given a helping hand every step of the way and clear guidance on developing your skillset in a number of areas. You'll really be thinking about the how, what and why of what you are doing. 

About you 

  • You will be someone that thrives on media relations. This role will work in a busy press office function of which 80% is reactive media relations and 20% is proactive. The brand is constantly in the news due to their size and journalists will regularly be in contact asking for the CEO’s opinions and the brands insight. 

  • You’ll ideally have experience working on a press office function for a major brand either consumer or corporate focused. Within this you’ll have experience in dealing with tough questions from journalists  and / or crisis PR. 

  • Experience from either in-house or agency side is okay

In this role you will

  • Defend the brand during times of crisis. You’ll create statements of position, understand the mechanics of the business to help defend the brand and work closely with the brands senior leadership team to ensure they are media savvy. 

  • Keep across the news agenda. You’ll help the brand tap into relevant stories and keep them aware of stories running that relate to them or their competitors. For example, Theresa May might be going in to meet with a competitor about industry issues, your client will want to know about this. 

  • Help launch new and exciting products. You’ll work on big budget campaigns, hold influencer sessions at the brands awesome head office and deliver influencer events to raise the brands profile.

Salary:

£26,000 - £28,000
