About the job

This independent agency is scaling fast and making a serious creative impact. Their social, influencer, and content offering launched less than a year ago and is already making waves – from always-on social for major consumer brands, to culturally sharp campaigns that blend influencer, paid, and earned.

Now looking for their third social hire in six months, this role has serious scope – with high-profile retained clients, exciting new project wins, and a team that’s built to support. The Social Lead will work closely with agency leadership and the PR teams to shape strategic and creative responses, elevate campaign delivery, and help drive continued growth.

Some of your core duties may include:

  • Be the strategic and operational lead across the agency’s social and influencer portfolio, spanning retained clients and campaign-based work
  • Own and grow key client relationships – developing long-term vision and driving consistent strategic value
  • Guide the creative direction of campaigns, collaborating closely with PR, creative, and paid specialists
  • Lead and mentor a growing team, currently including an Account Manager and Coordinator, with plans to expand
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing clients and lead pitches and proposals for new business
  • Shape and refine internal processes, planning frameworks, and delivery standards for social work
  • Work alongside agency leadership to define the future vision of the division, including headcount, commercial goals, and cross-agency integration

 

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is an existing social, content, or influencer Group Account Director / Head of Social, or a seasoned Senior Account Director ready for the step up, coming from an agency environment
  • Is confident leading clients and teams, particularly in fast-paced, high-impact environments
  • Proven leadership across multi-platform social and influencer work for large, culturally relevant brands
  • Strong commercial acumen – with experience in growing revenue, leading new business, and shaping division-level strategy
  • A collaborative leadership style – comfortable working with cross-functional teams
  • A track record of developing and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on mentoring and capability-building
  • An appetite for stepping into something with momentum – and helping it scale to the next level
