About the agency:

  • Founded in 2018 by a former Global VP of Comms at HTC and Deezer, Five in a Boat started with no investment, clients or partners, but is doubling revenue each year and they keep building.
  • From working with music icons like, Imogen Heap (the Grammy award-winner, and her ground-breaking Mi.Mu gloves – used by Ariana Grande) and Bjorn Ulvaeus from ABBA and his company, Session (music rights company obtaining the rightful remunerations for musicians), to games legends like Jagex and the esports competition platform Challenger Mode, Five in a Boat works with some of the world’s biggest gaming and music tech companies.

About the job:

  • You’ll have a full understanding of your client’s industries and their unique business proposition
  • You’ll continue building personal relationships with journalists – develop your own contact book and go-to media
  • You’ll manage and oversee junior team members work.
  • You’ll work towards ownership of your own priorities – act unaided on what is required to ensure deliverables are achieved
  • Client relationships are key; as such, you’ll actively work on fostering a close working relationship with your clients.


About you:

  • You will currently be at a Senior Account Executive level with at least 18 months B2B/Corporate experience within a PR agency.
  • You’ll have experience in reaching out to the media and creating rapport with journalists.
  • You’ll have experience with managing junior team members.
  • You’ll know how to lead from the front and manage expectations for clients.
  • You’re organised and able to handle tight deadlines and multiple tasks without compromising on quality. You’re confident working under pressure. You can adapt quickly and offer solutions in a fast-moving environment, and you’re just as adept at working on your own initiative as you are within a team.
