About the job

This Midweight Designer role will deliver high-impact, integrated digital and print solutions across every client brief. Working closely with the Senior Designer and integrated teams, this role requires a confident problem-solving attitude to execute game-changing creative. This role allows you to lead projects, mentor junior designers, and own the narrative of your creative vision with clients. Bring your eagerness to learn and drive for excellence to make a visible, lasting impact.

This is a maternity cover, part-time (3 days a week) contract role with an opportunity to go perm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce original content and inspirational campaign design concepts of a high standard for both print and digital. 
  • Understand the client’s brand and creative strategy and how that will dictate or inform any creative brief. 
  • Create original illustrations, animations, data visualisations and infographics. 
  • Communicate with the wider integrated team clearly to ensure creative elements are delivered within the project. 
  • Be confident in presenting and sharing ideas, designs, and concepts clearly and effectively, both internally and externally, using your specialist knowledge and expertise
  • Develop and maintain influential client relationships by bringing creative confidence and direction to email and face-to-face communications
  • Prioritise and stay organised within a busy creative environment, completing briefs within tight timeframes

 

About you

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or similar discipline
  • Has 3-5 years of experience within a graphic design role, working across a range of multidisciplinary projects, agency experience beneficial
  • Has excellent Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro)
  • Has proven experience of graphic design and visual communication, including a strong portfolio of work
  • Has strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts and layouts
  • Has strong attention to detail across typography, design and layout
  • Has strong team working and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Has experience with using a website CMS, such as Hubspot or WordPress
  • Has experience of working in digital publishing platforms such as Shorthand, Ceros, Webflow,
  • Flourish or Vev would be an advantage
